Carmela had a fantastic week in Puerto Vallarta. She got to visit a bunch with her Grandma and Grandpa Doctor, eat her sweet potatoes on the balcony overlooking the ocean, splash in the pool, and stick her toes in the sand. A nice family let her try their pool float and she loved it, so Grandma and Grandpa got her a pool float of her own. Mom and Dad pulled her around the pool while Carmela kicked her legs and splashed her hands; she was the captain of the good ship Mushroom Cap, and she totally dug it. Carmela also really liked sitting in the shallowest part with her Dad and kicking and splashing her arms and legs.
In addition to the pool, Carmela went to a few restaurants (where she made lots and lots of friends), to Bucerias (a small town with lots of shops and restaurants), and to the Malecon (the main thoroughfare through downtown Puerto Vallarta, with lots of shops, restaurants, and a beachfront walkway lined with fantastic sculptures). She was such a good girl the whole time, slept more or less well, smiled her big toothless grin at just about everyone, and seemed to really enjoy all the activity (so long as she also got some quiet time). Mom and Dad had fun, too, and enjoyed sipping margaritas by the pool, eating delicious food, seeing the sights, and relaxing.
